Panels for cold storage

From a 10-tonne walk-in to a multi-chamber potato or multi-commodity store, the panels are the store. If they leak air or heat, the compressors pay for it every day. We quote matched wall, roof and partition panels from more than one brand so you can compare them side by side.

What the panels must do

Get these right

1

Thickness by chamber

Chillers (+2 to +8 °C): typically 80–100 mm. Freezers (−18 to −25 °C): typically 120–150 mm.

2

Floor insulation

Below 0 °C the floor needs insulation (and often heating), or the ground can freeze and heave.

3

Vapour-tight joints

Cam-lock or sealed T&G joints, plus sealed penetrations for pipes and cables.
