Panels for mushroom farms

Button mushroom growing rooms run at controlled temperatures and near-saturated humidity all year. PUF panels hold the temperature and take the moisture, but the panel skins and joints have to suit wet rooms that are washed down between crops.

What the panels must do

Get these right

1

Insulation

Growing rooms commonly use 80 mm PUF walls and ceiling; 60 mm is also used in milder climates. This is typical, not a rule.

2

Corrosion-resistant faces

Good-quality PPGI or PPGL with an adequate coating. Ask for the coating class. Avoid cut edges left unsealed.

3

Sealed joints

High humidity finds every gap. Sealed T&G or cam-lock joints and coved floor junctions help.
