Roof first

Most heat comes through the roof. 30–50 mm PUF roof panels are a common choice for ambient sheds.

Spans and purlins

Panel thickness and skin gauge decide the purlin spacing. Check the brand’s span table with your PEB designer.

Fire

Large stores often have insurer requirements. PIR or rockwool may be needed.

Common mistakes

  • Skylights and ridge vents must suit the panel profile
  • Order flashing as per your requirement (profile, girth, colour), with ridge caps and fasteners, in the same order
  • Long lengths need crane or manpower planning
